The Role
The USTA National Campus is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager of Facility Operations to oversee the management and maintenance of our world-class tennis facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Campus, ensuring a high standard of facility management and customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing various projects, managing budgets, and leading a team to ensure the campus remains a premier destination for tennis enthusiasts and professionals.
General Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the USTA National Campus, including all buildings, courts, and grounds.
- Ensure the campus is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures.
- Lead and manage various facility projects (CapX), ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Develop and manage the annual facility operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and control expenses, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Supervise and mentor a team of facility operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure staff compliance with safety regulations and operational policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the highest level of customer service for all campus visitors and event participants.
- Address and resolve any facility-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with contract security and Orlando police and fire departments.
- Supervise security of the facility
Who You Are
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relatable experience in a sports venue is highly preferred.
- Proficient on all functions relating to operations and equipment of major sports venues is required.
- Strong organization, leadership, interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices and all applicable safety standards for public facilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with outside groups, organizations, trades, supervisors, subordinates and the public.
- Experience in managing a multi-use sports complex.
- Knowledge of tennis facility operations.
- Position is considered exempt.
- This position works onsite at the Orlando, Fl., USTA National Campus.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $80,000-$95,000. This role is bonus eligible. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
