The Role
The Sr. Manager UX Design & Research is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for shaping and elevating the user experience across our product portfolio. They will guide a team of designers and ensure that the UX strategy is effectively implemented. This role blends deep expertise in UX design with strong team leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure exceptional user-centered design outcomes..
- UX Vision and Strategy: Develop and refine a comprehensive UX vision and strategy aligning with business goals and user needs.
- Design Execution: Leads the design of complex user flows and journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and conducts usability testing to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of UX designers, researchers, and potential content strategists.
- Project Oversight: Lead complex UX projects from inception to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Research & Insights: Drive user research initiatives to uncover insights about product design
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure UX considerations are integrated throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Design Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles within the organization
- Evaluation & Iteration: Establish metrics to measure the success of UX initiatives and iterate on designs based on data-driven feedback.
- Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, share knowledge with the team, and implement best practices.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Share expertise and guide other UX designers and researchers, elevating the organization's overall UX skill set.
- Evangelize UX: Advocate for user-centered design principles and champion the importance of UX in driving product success.
- Prioritization: Identifying and focusing on the most critical tasks and projects
- Goal Setting: Setting clear, achievable goals and developing action plans to reach
- Data Analytics: Work with the Data Analytics team to capture critical data
Who You Are
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in UX design, with at least five years in a management or leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related Master's degree is a plus.
- Skills: Proven expertise in user research methodologies, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Familiarity with multiple design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Portfolio: A strong enterprise portfolio demonstrating exceptional user-centered design solutions and leadership on complex projects.
- The role is designated as "hybrid/flex," allowing for both remote and on-site work. Adherence to current USTA hybrid/flex requirements is essential, with periodic updates from HR informing the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $120,000– 140,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
