The Role

As the Community Tennis Coordinator (CTC), you’ll play a critical role in driving the growth of tennis across the Eastern section. Your focus will be on developing partnerships, supporting tennis providers, and leading initiatives to increase participation. You’ll be the go-to resource for promoting tennis programs and building strong connections in the community.

  • Regularly engage with tennis providers to drive participation and share valuable USTA resources.
  • Represent USTA Eastern at events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Work closely with regional councils to advance strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Build partnerships with community organizations to expand tennis programs.
  • Promote and coordinate tennis opportunities for youth and adults, such as leagues, match play events, and community programs.
  • Manage grant applications, reviews, and follow-ups to ensure funding is used optimally.
  • Oversee tennis infrastructure improvements in your assigned region.
  • Support marketing and communication efforts to amplify tennis programs.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including reporting and data management.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Marketing, Diversity & Inclusion, Competitive Tennis, and Finance.
  • Partner with regional councils, volunteers, and board members to achieve shared goals.
  • Build relationships with leaders in schools, clubs, parks, Community Tennis Associations, and other organizations to expand tennis opportunities.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and data tools.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends as needed.
  • Tennis knowledge and experience are a plus but not required.
  • Must pass USTA National Safe Play and USTA Eastern Section background checks.

The expected starting salary for this position is $64,350. This does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.

Working Conditions: Full time. Work from home, with some office requirements and travel within supervisory regions. Works in and out of facilities – exposed to outside weather
